Together, my husband, Alan, and I began an unexpected journey together when in 2007 he was diagnosed with "probable cause" of Alzheimer's...he enduring progression of disease and I serving as caregiver. Last May Alan died.
Since then I try to comprehend what it means to be a widow. For those of you who lost a partner, you may understand that I find that grief may be postponed by memorials, legal issues re will/trust/finance, etc.
Meanwhile my children gifted me with a 3-month-old puppy believing she would share her energy & joy. However, it soon dawned on me that I've never raised a puppy alone and never without a backyard. (My small condo has a small balcony.)
Hope this gives you a description of what occupies my time:-)

Update: That 3-month old puppy, June Carter, mentioned in my message
above, will be 7 years old March 9, 2025!! We've walked many miles
together and we're keeping on, keeping on:)
